Scholarship Information

 

The Albany Chorale will award up to $1,000 each season for a rising college freshman pursuing a music scholarship; the specific amount of the award will vary based on available funds. The scholarship is limited to students currently enrolled in high school who will be graduating in May. Qualifying high schools include all public, private, and home schools in Albany, GA, and the surrounding areas. Applicants must plan to attend college during 2024-2025 school year and consider a major in music. They must have had at least one year of choral music education during school or must have performed with the Albany Chorale for at least one concert. Applicants must be in good academic standing and have a strong work ethic, demonstrating a desire for musical growth.
Complete this application and mail it with an official school transcript or most recent report card, along with letters of recommendation from two references to the address below. Grammar, spelling, and presentation will all be considered in addition to the answers to the questions. The awarded scholarship is valid for six months and will be paid directly to the educational institution on behalf of the recipient. All applicable materials must be postmarked no later than March 31, and the winner will be announced at our season finale concert. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
